How Wages are Calculated During a Business Trip

According to the Labor Code, an employee retains their average wage from their main workplace for the duration of the business trip (secondment). The calculation takes the following into account:

  1. Average Daily Wage: Calculated based on the wages earned over the last 12 months.
  2. Duration of the Business Trip: All days spent on the trip are calculated, including travel days and working days.
  3. Daily Business Trip Expenses (Per Diem): Daily expenses determined by the employer and regulated by law (such as meals, accommodation, etc.) are paid separately.
